- 92-94 Punkte VINOUS, Neal Martin: "The 2019 Lynch-Moussas comes in a swanky bespoke embossed bottle to celebrate a century's ownership by the Castèja family (and very tasteful it is too.) Does it have a wine worthy of this anniversary, you ask. Well, it has a very attractive mint-tinged bouquet, a mélange of red and black fruit laced with brown spices and cedar. It gains intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a lightly spiced entry: black pepper and a touch of Earl Grey infusing the black fruit. Well-balanced, fresh and showing similar class to its sibling Batailley. This is indeed a very fine Lynch-Moussas that frankly is a significant step up from some of the wines I was tasting a decade ago. Excellent."

- 92-94 Punkte VINOUS, Antonio Galloni: "The 2019 Lynch-Moussas is powerful, dense and super expressive. Iron, smoke, grilled herbs, tobacco and game give the 2019 a distinctly feral, earthy personality, but there is plenty of fruit to balance things out. Deep and virile to the core, Lynch-Moussas offers tons of power. It is also one of the most distinctive wines of the appellation."

- 93 Punkte FALSTAFF, Peter Moser: "Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarter Ockerrand. Zart mit Minze unterlegte schwarze Beerenfrucht, reife Pflaumen, ein Hauch von Nougat, tabakige Würze. Saftig, reife Kirschen, integrierte Tannine, schokoladiger Touch im Abgang, feines Karamell im Nachhall, ein gelungener Wein zum 100-jährigen Jubiläum des Gewächses in der Hand der Familie Casteja."

- 92 Punkte DECANTER, Jane Anson: "This vintage marks the 100th anniversary of Lynch Moussas under the Castéja family, who arrived at the property in 1919. They have worked hard to establish a more consistent performance over recent vintages, and certainly here you have plenty of impact, with silky tannins, deeply glossed blackberry and cassis fruits, touches of grilled cedar and strong coffee bean on the finish. Low temperature fermentation saw things kept at under 26°C at all times, helping to control the tannin extract from the fruit after the hot summer. An impressive performance from this estate. Drinking Window 2027 – 2040"

- 90-92 Punkte JEB DUNNUCK: "Another solid effort from this estate, the 2019 Château Lynch-Moussas has a pretty bouquet of red and black fruits, unsmoked tobacco, gravelly earth, and chocolate. This carries to a medium-bodied Pauillac with good mid-palate concentration, plenty of tannins, and outstanding length. It's going to benefit from short-term cellaring and keep for 15 years or more."

- 94-95 Punkte JAMES SUCKLING: "A big, rich LM with lots of blackcurrants, black chocolate and tar. It’s full and layered with loads of fruit and ripe tannins. Muscular and rich. Extracted. A wine for aging. 73% cabernet sauvignon and 27% merlot."
