- 90-92+ Punkte Robert Parkers WINE ADVOCATE: „Now benefiting from its own dedicated winery, the 2021 Le Carillon d'Angélus is no longer a "second wine" per se, but rather draws on some 25 hectares of dedicated vineyards, emphasizing Merlot from the cool terroirs of Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes, complemented by holdings in the gravelly Figeac sector and on clay soils near Angélus itself—with anything that doesn't make the cut relegated to the No. 3 d'Angélus. Exhibiting aromas of raspberries, plums, warm spices and nicely integrated new oak, it's medium to full-bodied, supple and polished, with lively acids, refined tannins and a long, penetrating finish.“

- 91-93 Punkte VINOUS; Neal Martin: „The 2021 Le Carillon d’Angelus offers a mixture of red and black fruit on the nose, hints of cedar and clove, and even a touch of pain d’epices. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, a fine bead of acidity, good weight and freshness and a suave and very harmonious finish. I have remarked on the melioration of Cariloon in the last two years, and this continues that trend.“

- 90-92 Punkte VINOUS, Antonio Galloni: „The 2021 Le Carillon d’Angelus opens with a burst of red/purplish fruit, spice, rose petal, lavender, mocha and new oak. Palpable enery drives the balance. The aromatics are broad and quite expressive, but on the palate, the 2021 remains strict, as the oak needs time to fully integrate. Let’s see how this turns out.“

- 92 Punkte FALSTAFF, Peter Moser: „Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung.

- 92 Punkte DECANTER, Georgina Hindle: „Delicate raspberry purée perfume on the nose alongside roses and violets. So charming and welcoming. Smooth and succulent, the sharpness is there with the strawberry and raspberry fruit, plus graphite and slate touches as well. Extremely silky on the palate, the flavours just glide, the tannins are pure silk, excellently textured and the fruit has a crystalline purity with a tangy edge and chalky centre. Sensitive and delicately framed in terms of grace on the palate, but with an intensity of energy and pure fruit. Very playful, drinkable. focused, bright and shining with tension. A lovely Carillon that benefitted in 2021 from its own cellar as well as 10% more Cabernet Franc in the blend than usual. Drinking Window 2025 – 2035“

- 17 Punkte Rene Gabriels BORDEAUX TOTAL, Andre Kunz: „(80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc) Samtenes, cremiges, fruchtiges, frisches Bouquet, Himbeeren, Minze, frische Kräuter, Lakritze. Mittelkräftiger, feinfruchtiger Gaumen mit süsser Frucht, gutem Tannin, fein kerniger, eher schlanker Struktur, frischer Aromatik, mittlerer, leichter Abgang.“

- 17,5 Punkte WEINWISSER: 80 % Merlot, 20 % Cabernet Franc, 60 % neue Barriques.

- 92-94 Punkte JEB DUNNUCK: „The second wine of this incredible estate, the 2021 Carillon D'Angélus is based on 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc that was raised in 60% new French oak. It's another gorgeous wine with a rare sense of class and elegance as well as density, offering notes of cassis, violets, spicy wood, and spring flowers. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has silky tannins, just about perfect balance, and a great finish.“

- 92-93 Punkte JAMES SUCKLING: „Lavender, orange peel and redcurrants with some flowers. Medium body. Fine tannins and a tangy finish. Citrusy at the end. One that will be nice to drink young.“
